Join this second annual forum dedicated to the challenges and design constraints engineers face as the adoption of ultra-low power wireless sensor communication technology becomes more widespread. A conference highlight will be a continuing education seminar titled, "Designing for ultra-low-power wireless sensor applications, powered by energy harvesting," presented by the GreenPeak Academy on June 4 in Costa Mesa, California. GreenPeak's senior specialists will address the key design challenges for ultra-low-power wireless sensor applications. Tips and Tricks will be discussed to arrive at the lowest possible energy consumption, as will real life cases (including demo materials).
The 7th international conference on lead-acid batteries will be held in the picturesque Black Sea resort near Varna, Bulgaria. Authors who wish to present a paper are requested to send a short 75 word abstract in English by October 30th, 2007. Full texts of selected papers will be published in Conference Proceedings in a dedicated issue of The Journal of Power Sources.

Utilities will be invited to discuss their views on how they are integrating new technology and where they would like to see advances being made in the future. Manufacturers will provide a glimpse of new technologies they have available or that are under development.

18th International Seminar on Double Layer Capacitors and Hybrid Energy Storage

As it has for the last 18 years this, the original supercapacitor seminar, will focus on the continuing progress of the development of electrochemical capacitors and hybrid energy storage devices. Papers will address such topics as electrochemical double layer phenomena, materials and systems, use of faradayic and nonfaradayic electrodes in high pulsing power applications, the use of electrochemical capacitors in support of other energy generating devices (wind generators and internal combustion engines), and the application of electrochemical capacitors in hybrid arrangements with fuel cell engines for electric vehicles, among others.
