17ELBC is moving online: September 22-24

Fri, 05/22/2020 - 11:52 -- Paul Crompton

This year’s European Lead Battery Conference is going online due to the disruption caused by the global coronavirus outbreak.

However, the e-17ELBC event will take place online and will include analysis of COVID-19 impacts on the lead battery industry worldwide as well as updates on the many other issues and opportunities affecting the industry including:

  • Future markets: the outlook for lead batteries in 2021 and beyond
  • Business opportunities: top industry figures unveil their thoughts
  • Key trends: the latest research on advanced lead batteries

Dr Andy Bush said: “It’s clear from our own discussions with those in the industry that while people understand we can no longer convene in Milan this year, it remains important that our industry has the opportunity to discuss the many issues we are facing right now.  They are keen to hear how the pandemic is affecting the industry and how a green recovery will can benefit us both in Europe and across the world. And of course there is plenty of exciting lead battery research and innovation to discuss. So we plan to take as much of our programme as we possibly can into the virtual conference in a mixture of live and ‘on demand’ formats.”

“Our objective is to make the event as accessible, relevant and enjoyable as we possibly can for our delegates. And given we’re online I hope we can also attract attendees who would not normally be able to travel to the event.

“We’ll see what feedback we get from the virtual conference, but I wouldn’t be surprised if future events become a hybrid of face-to-face and online activities – the best of both worlds.”

More details will be published on our website soon.
