Vancouver-based Advantage Lithium Corp., is speeding up exploration of lithium at its Cauchari joint venture (JV) project with Argentinian lithium producer, Orocobre, in the country’s Jujay Province.
Advantage said on 10 July a second drill rig had been installed at Cauchari, its flagship lithium asset.
That will be followed “shortly” by a diamond drill rig, the third rig to start operating at the site, which Advantage said would install monitoring wells for pump test wells.
Advantage CEO David Sidoo said the drill holes “are designed to test the exploration target at significantly greater depths than previous drilling”.
Sidoo said the project “represents one of the best undeveloped lithium brine opportunities in South America”.
Cauchari is 20 kilometres south of Orocobre’s flagship Olaroz lithium facility. Advantage said assay results for Cauchari are expected to be available in late August.
