Lead-carbon battery maker Axion Power International (Axion) has added Richard H Bogan to its board of directors.
63-year-old Bogan will replace Howard Schmidt who resigned from his position as director to concentrate on other non-competitive projects.
Bogan is currently operating partner of Key Bridge Partners, a $50m private equity firm. Prior to Key Bridge, he acted as a consultant in M&A to privately held companies in RHB Partners and was executive vice president as well aw CFO of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Holdings, where he directed a $150m reorganisation.
The Pennsylvania-based company recently named Charles R. Trego as the company’s financial officer, who is also a member of the company’s board of directors.
