Lithium energy storage firm Navitas Systems has hired John Sapp as its new chief operating officer as the company prepares for a ‘new surge in growth’.
Sapp was hired because his battery industry experience addresses all dimensions of Navitas businesses including cells, modules, and complete battery systems.
His latest role prior to joining Navitas was as executive director of Global Product Development Process Design & Governance for UPS firm Vertiv.
Sapp was previously vice president of Global Program Management at lithium iron phosphate and energy storage system company A123 Systems— a subsidiary of Chinese Wanxiang Group.
