Maritime energy storage firm Corvus Energy has made a new appointment to strengthen its global and European operations.
Corvus has employed marine industry veteran Willie Wagen as head of global sales and marketing and European managing director.
The company’s next generation maritime energy storage systems are used to power passenger and commercial vessels.
“Willie brings a wealth of knowledge regarding the future perspectives and trends of the marine industry, along with a passion for innovation and new technologies,” said Corvus Energy President & CEO, Andrew Morden.
Wagen will be based out of the Corvus’ European headquarters in Bergen, Norway.
Corvus received industry validation at the beginning of 2016 with its flagship AT6500, 6.7kWh lithium-ion energy storage product.
BBB has also previously told how Corvus signed a multi-year agreement to use Korean battery maker LG Chem’s lithium-ion pouch cells.
