India firm commissions 100MW lithium-ion battery

Energy storage maker Inverted Energy has commissioned its new 100MWh lithium battery manufacturing plant in Delhi, India. 

The manufacturing capacity of the plant in Okhla Industrial Area is expected to increase in the coming months, say the India firm.

EV battery swap station launched in India

Government-owned fossil fuel firm Indian Oil has partnered with transport power infrastructure company Sun Mobility to set up electric vehicle battery-swapping stations at select fuel stations in cities across India.

A state-of-the-art battery swapping station has been inaugurated at Kapoor Service Station, one of Indian Oil's leading retail outlets in Chandigarh, in northern India.

Energy firm combine to launch ESS demonstration project in India

Three energy firms are to combine resources to develop a 10MW lithium-ion energy storage demonstration project in India.

The project involves Japanese firm Mitsubishi Corporation, US firm AES Corporation and Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL)— a joint venture between Indian utility company Tata Power and the Government of NCT of Delhi.

First energy storage system launched in India

ACME Cleantech Solutions has launched the first power back-up storage solution in India.

The EcoGrid Energy Storage System (ESS) is a lithium-ion-based technology for residences and small commercial unit applications, and expects to sell close to 5 Mw worth of units in the current fiscal year—around 600-700 units.
