Lithium Australia subsidiary VSPC signs MoU to commercialise lithium-ion cathodes

Cathode materials developer VSPC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lithium Australia, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Beijing Saideli Technology Incorporated Company to commercialise its technology.

The deal was agreed following a technical review and discussions around the Australian firm’s lithium-ferro-phosphate cathode product.

Lithium Australia in batteries tie-up with China’s DLG

Lithium Australia (LA) and China’s DLG Battery Co are to form a joint venture to sell DLG’s lithium-ion batteries in Australia— and launch a battery product targeting domestic and global markets.

The 50-50 'Lithium Australia DLG' business will also “fast-track” the commercialisation of cathode powders produced by LA subsidiary VSPC for use in DLG batteries, according to a letter of intent signed by the firms.

Lithium Australia hails LFP cathode project milestone

Lithium Australia (LIT) has started producing lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery cathode material from its re-commissioned pilot facility in Brisbane.

The milestone comes 10 months after Perth-based LIT took the first steps to acquire the facility from battery cathode developer Very Small Particle Company— since renamed as VSPC.
