US based Advanced Battery Technologies (ABAT) has signed a deal to supply lithium-ion batteries to Jiangsu Duke New Energy Automobile.
The strategic partnership agreement will see ABAT’s lithium-ion batteries used in Jiangsu Duke’s 20,000 electric sports cars set to be manufactured during 2015.
Jiangsu Duke New Energy Automobile specialises in research and development, design and manufacture of its Supercar branded electric sports cars.
Jiangsu Duke New Energy Automobile’s new energy project is authorised by the China Development and Reform Commission.
ABAT has three manufacturing subsidiaries in Harbin, Wuxi and Dongguan, China. It engages in the design, manufacture, marketing and distribution of rechargeable polymer lithium-ion (PLI) batteries and related Light Electric Vehicles (LEV’s) products.
