US bipolar battery tech company Advanced Battery Concepts (ABC) has appointed former Trojan Battery Company executive, Michael Everett, as chief operating officer.
Everett (pictured), who was most recently Trojan’s senior vice-president of engineering, is also a former chief technical officer of Maxwell Technologies, the California-based ultracapacitor firm recently acquired by Tesla.
ABC chairman David Barrie said Everett’s experience “working on game-changing technology will be a great asset as we work with our licensees to commercialise Greenseal technology”.
Meanwhile, Exide Technologies has appointed Mike Judd as executive vice-president and COO. Judd will report to Tim Vargo, chairman, president and CEO and will lead the global manufacturing operations for Exide from the company’s headquarters in Georgia.
Judd is a former vice-president of operations for JCI’s Power Solutions business (now Clarios) for the US and Canada. He was most recently vice-president of operations for Dover Food Retail, with responsibility for manufacturing, supply chain, purchasing and sourcing.
