The previous article explained the importance of controlling the process parameters when mixing the lead-acid battery active material ingredients. It also demonstrated how modifications to the structure of the final active material could result from relatively small variations in the mixing process parameters. Once mixed, the active material becomes a paste that needs to be applied to the conducting substrate.
