Allye Energy has promoted Dr Arghavan Nazemi to chief technology officer (CTO), strengthening its executive leadership team as it scales its impact on intelligent energy management.
Dr Nazemi joined Allye in February 2025 as director of control systems and has since played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s technical strategy.
In just 10 months, she has transformed Allye’s engineering capabilities, introducing rigorous discipline across software, embedded systems and control technologies. Her leadership has been central to advancing the company’s power control innovations for battery energy storage systems (BESS), particularly in grid-forming capabilities, seamless synchronisation and bi-directional power control.
“The energy transition presents some of the most complex technical challenges of our time, and I’m energised by the opportunity to lead Allye’s technical vision as we scale our impact,” said Dr Nazemi. “Our novel approach to battery energy storage architecture, repurposing of EV batteries and unique power control technologies positions us uniquely to solve the stability challenges that are becoming increasingly critical as renewable penetration grows. Being selected for the UK Battery Sector Mentoring Programme earlier this year reinforced my commitment to advancing UK leadership in this vital sector. This promotion allows me to expand our technical capabilities while ensuring we maintain the engineering excellence that sets Allye apart in a rapidly evolving market.”
Founder and CEO Jonathan Carrier added, “Argy’s promotion to CTO represents a natural evolution of her already significant influence on our company’s direction. In less than a year, she has developed our technical capabilities and become a strategic partner in shaping our business direction and customer engagement.”
Dr Nazemi joins Carrier and COO Alistair McNeil to complete Allye’s senior team, bringing deep automotive and electrification expertise to the company’s mission.
