Ampace has unveiled the first mass-produced 10C semi-solid lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells at RE+ 2025.
Designed for high-performance and safety, the new cells offer a 10C continuous discharge rate – double the industry standard – and 20% higher energy density.
“We’ve moved beyond R&D papers,” said Dr Yuan, CTO of Ampace. “These battery cells and systems are in field deployment – that’s how innovation creates real impact.”
The semi-solid LFP cells are engineered to meet the demands of grid instability, space-constrained data centres, and EV-compatible home storage. Their modular design enhances thermal stability, eliminates leakage risks, and ensures resilience in extreme conditions ranging from –20ºC to 55ºC. Ampace’s technology has passed UL 9540A testing and includes real-time leakage monitoring and cell-level fire safety certification, positioning it among the safest solutions in the industry.
At the exhibition, Ampace also showcased its PU200 data centre powerhouse and PR-S4 systems, both integrated with the new LFP cells. These systems support applications from residential stabilisation to mission-critical backup power.
Ampace boasts an impressive safety record, with over 69 million cells produced without a single incident or recall. Proven in real-world scenarios – including a simulated 9.0-magnitude earthquake in Chile – the company continues to deliver field-tested reliability.
Following its EcoVadis Silver Medal win in August, Ampace is reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and performance as it expands across North America’s clean energy landscape.
