US lead-acid battery-recycling start-up Aqua Metals has named Frank Knuettel as its next chief financial officer— the latest move in the firm’s leadership shake-up.
Knuettel will join the company from 16 April and “will formally assume the role” after the filing of upcoming quarterly results.
Aqua Metals said Knuettel brings “extensive strategic and operational financial leadership, with over 20 years of management and business experience in public and venture-backed firms”.
Knuettel succeeds interim CFO Thomas Murphy, who will continue as a consultant “to ensure a smooth transition”.
Aqua Metals has declined to say whether co-founder Dr Stephen Clarke— who the firm said last month was to be replaced as CEO— will continue in his other roles as president and chairman or stay on in another capacity.
