There were plenty of batteries for sale, but their technical issues were hardly addressed at this year's Intelec – held near Rome, but not actually in it. A disappointing venue – and a suitcase stuck in Atlanta – put your Editor in one big funk as he tried to make sense of some pretty low-grade technical intercourse.
I could have guessed it was going to be bad. Trying to get my press registration sorted for Intelec 07 took days, and the conference venue mysteriously still had rooms available just one week before the event.
