New York state lithium materials firm alpha-En Corporation has confirmed battery expert Jack Marple has joined them as a consultant.
Marple will immediately start advising the US company on product development and commercialisation of its high purity lithium metal and associated products aimed at the battery industry.
Jerome Feldman, founder and executive chairman of the board at alpha-E, said: “We are very fortunate to be working with Jack Marple, one of the towering figures in the energy storage industry with forty years of experience.
“He will be consulting with us on a variety of R&D subjects. His background in taking processes from bench-top to pilot to high-speed manufacturing will be an asset to our R&D facility.”
Marple is a former Technology Fellow with Energizer Battery Company, and holds a number of US and international patents.
His expertise extends to form factors in energy storage, as well as knowledge of various battery chemistries, including those used with lithium-ion carbon anode systems, lithium anode systems, and zinc anode systems.
