Battery recycling is a hot topic, whether its how to ship used lithium-ion to ‘greener’ ways of recycling lead-acid.
Whether lithium-ion will ever match lead-acid’s 98% recycling rate remains to be seen, but you can be sure it will be on the agenda as experts gather for the 20th International Congress for Battery Recycling.
The recycling industry’s most hotly anticipated event will see scientists, engineers, producers and recyclers sharing their views and discussing battery recycling technologies.
More than 200 international experts from industry, authorities and academia will discuss and present talks on everything from battery legislation in Europe and worldwide, safety & transportation regulations to the best available recycling technologies.
The conference includes a workshop on lithium battery transport & safety issues and a tour to the battery recycling plant Batrec Industrie AG.
Organised by ICM AG, the event takes place from September 23 – 25 at the Hotel Fairmont Le Montreux Palace in Montreux, Switzerland.
