Lead and lithium-ion battery separator firm Entek Manufacturing has acquired material handling equipment supplier Adaptive Engineering & Fabrication
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed but Entek told BEST the acquisition would allow the rebranded company – called Entek Adaptive— to be a new product line for its material handling business.
Entek said the aquisition was a “natural next step in the relationship and an opportunity to provide a more streamlined platform for customers”.
All AEF’s employees will remain with the California, US company including: Rick Buschini and Chuck Nadolski who will continue to lead the sales, development and installation of material handling equipment with the support of Entek’s engineering and project management teams.
As Entek grows its manufacturing capabilities it will build both extrusion and material handling equipment at its plant in Nevada, US.
Entek has previously partnered with AEF on projects, and worked together as customer and supplier for a number of years.
Rick Buschini, VP material handling sales, said: “Together we will be able to grow our combined company to provide our equipment and engineering services to customers in North America and beyond.
“Combining with Entek’s international footprint and knowledge provides us a platform to better serve our current and future customers both domestically and internationally.”
