Battery Tech Europe, a newly launched event dedicated to energy storage technologies and emerging battery applications, will debut in Barcelona on 8–9 September 2026 at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue.
Positioned as a strategic meeting point for Europe’s energy transition, the event will unite leading companies, engineers, researchers and investors to explore next-generation battery technologies and high-growth markets.
“There is no other event in the battery technology calendar like it,” said Ken Davies, Battery Tech Expo Europe conference programme director. “Battery Tech Europe will bring together industry experts from across the continent and form the catalyst for exciting new collaborations and investments.”
The event will feature a major exhibition and conference programme. It will present disruptive advances across the battery value chain, with applications beyond automotive – including grid-scale storage, long-duration systems, aerospace, drones, rail and maritime electrification.
Innovations on show will span advanced materials, manufacturing processes, energy management systems, safety solutions and recycling technologies. The exhibition will host hundreds of companies, R&D centres and startups, with a focus on bridging European innovation to real-world application.
Battery Tech Europe aims to strengthen European energy independence and foster knowledge transfer between research, industry and policy. International experts will address the future of energy innovation and the roadmap for Europe’s battery industry – from electrochemistry breakthroughs to recycling technology.
The inaugural edition has already received strong interest from across the sector, positioning itself as a vibrant new platform for European leadership in global energy.
