New electrolyte technology claimed to “advance lead batteries” will be unveiled by new US company Tydrolyte at this week’s European Lead Battery Conference (ELBC) in Vienna, Austria.
Tydrolyte CEO Paul Bundschuh (pictured) said the technology offers “a less toxic drop-in replacement for sulfuric acid in lead batteries”.
Tydrolyte has already been welcomed as a new member of the Advanced Lead-Acid Battery Consortium (ALABC).
ALABC programme manager Dr Boris Monahov said: “There is a bright future for the lead battery, but it is essential that the industry continues to drive innovation to meet future market requirements. We look forward to working with Tydrolyte in the future.”
The team behind Batteries & Energy Storage Technology (BEST) Magazine and BEST Battery Briefing will be in Vienna all this week to cover ELBC.
If you’re attending ELBC, drop by our stand to say hello and make sure you’ve received your copy of our special BEST Magazine conference edition— including a ‘BEST time out’ guide to Vienna and details of how to enter our conference competition and prize draw.
