Battery test equipment supplier Bitrode has appointed Jia Xu to support inside sales throughout Asia at the company’s headquarters in St. Louis, US.
Shanghai-born Xu has an in-depth knowledge of Chinese market requirements, according to Bitrode.
Prior to Bitrode, Xu served as sales engineer for Wärtsilä Corporation working on providing sustainable lifecycle power solutions for the marine shipping and energy sectors.
Xu holds a Master’s degree in electrical engineering from Washington University and a Bachelor’s of electrical engineering from Shanghai Maritime University.
“Bitrode recognises that the energy storage industry is rapidly expanding around the globe,” said John Grimm, director of sales and marketing. “We believe that Jia’s technical abilities and sales experience are a valuable asset to our existing team in Asia,” he added.
Bitrode recently introduced an insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) formation charger in North America, which is designed to replace the need for power factor correction.
The company is part of the Sovema family of companies. Headquartered in Missouri, US, the equipment manufacturer also has offices in Italy and China.
