Italian lead oxide manufacturer CAM will resume production on Tuesday after flooding caused a temporary halt to the company’s operations. CAM’s factory is in Fossacesia, in the province of Abruzzo, which was hit by heavy rainfall on Wednesday, April 1, causing extensive flooding in the region.
Beyond the flood
In a statement posted today on business social networking site LinkedIn, CAM’s CEO Fernando Marfisi wrote:
“Beyond the flood, the sun shines on CAM once more.
Nature tested us, but it did not shake our resolve. Over the past few days, we faced the impact of the floods with the same precision and determination that define our engineering standards.
Today, the sun is back over our facilities. 59 years of history are not just a record of the past; they are the bedrock of our resilience.
We do not just endure challenges; we manage them. On Tuesday, we return to full operations to restore total normalcy across all departments.
We do so with the strength that has distinguished us since 1967.
I want to express my gratitude to:
Those who took action: Your hands-on support was the engine of our recovery.
Those who reached out: Your messages confirm the prestige and solidity of our global network.
This Easter carries a profound meaning of Rebirth. For CAM, it is not merely a return to routine, but a firm reassertion of our leadership and reliability.
Wishing all our partners, clients, and collaborators a Happy Easter defined by strength and renewed energy.”
