CATL has launched the Middle East’s first Ning Service Experience Center in Riyadh, now the region’s largest new energy aftermarket facility outside China.
Opened on 10 January 2026, the site strengthens CATL’s after‑sales footprint as Saudi Arabia and neighbouring countries push ahead with electrification and decarbonisation targets under Vision 2030 and similar national strategies.
Saudi Arabia aims for 30% of vehicles in Riyadh to be electric by 2030, alongside wider efforts to cut emissions, promote electric equipment such as forklifts, and expand green energy use under the Saudi Green Initiative. However, the transition continues to face obstacles, including high electricity demand, dependence on oil, harsh climatic conditions and limited charging and service infrastructure.
CATL’s new 7,000m2 facility is designed to help address these challenges. The centre brings together exhibition areas, diagnostics and maintenance zones, refurbishment workshops, training rooms and customer spaces. It acts both as a regional service hub and as a platform connecting industry partners to support wider ecosystem development.
The Ning Service Experience Center delivers full‑lifecycle support across battery diagnostics, repair, maintenance, rework, training, recycling, logistics and warehousing. Its remit spans more than seven product categories, from passenger and commercial vehicles to energy storage systems. CATL says this approach helps reduce downtime, extend asset life and improve long‑term performance certainty for enterprise customers.
The Riyadh site also supports local capability building through dedicated training facilities. Globally, Ning Service operates 10 training centres and has certified more than 9,700 after‑sales professionals. CATL is also working with regional partners on initiatives such as solar‑plus‑storage deployment and fleet electrification.
