New-energy vehicle firm China Dynamics is aiming to research and develop graphene lead-acid batteries, according to reports.
The Chinese company has signed an agreement with electric vehicle and advanced battery company Shanghai Xinchi Energy Technology.
The two companies will jointly research and develop graphene lead-acid batteries, reported the Shanghai Metals Market.
China Dynamics has previously been focused on ignition, industrial energy storage, lithium-ion and green batteries using polymer lithium solid-state battery technology.
Last month China Dynamics was granted the ‘New Energy Vehicles Production Licence’ by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China.
The production licences were for its pure electric logistic vehicle and electric bus, both produced by the group’s subsidiary Chongqing Suitong New Energy Vehicle Production.
