Coesia will showcase a range of battery manufacturing technologies spanning electrode production, cell assembly, inspection and factory automation at The Battery Show Europe 2026 in Stuttgart, Germany.
The Italian industrial automation group said it will focus particularly on winding and stacking technologies developed by its subsidiary G.D, describing them as two of the most critical processes in lithium-ion battery manufacturing. The systems are designed to improve process stability, material handling precision, automation and footprint optimisation in high-volume production environments, supporting both cylindrical and prismatic cell formats.
According to Coesia, the technologies are already being deployed in gigafactory projects where process quality control, scalability and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) are key requirements.
Alessandro Parimbelli, chief executive officer of Coesia, said: “Winding and stacking are defining processes in battery manufacturing, and this is where Coesia brings proven industrial strength and competitiveness. With technologies already deployed in large-scale battery projects, we help manufacturers scale reliably and efficiently.”
At the exhibition, Coesia will present technologies from its Energy Storage Solutions division, which brings together capabilities from Cerulean, Comas, FlexLink, G.D, Norden and System Electronics. The portfolio covers the battery production chain from electrode manufacturing through to cell finishing and factory automation.
Cerulean: expanding Coesia’s QA capabilities
Cerulean has recently been integrated into the Energy Storage Solutions division. Cerulean specialises in computed tomography-based inspection systems for non-destructive quality control of battery cells, expanding Coesia’s quality assurance capabilities.
The company said its exhibiting technologies include electrode mixing, coating and drying systems from Comas; automated material handling and factory automation solutions from FlexLink; winding, stacking and cell assembly equipment from G.D; modular electrolyte filling systems from Norden; and formation and ageing equipment from System Electronics.

Coesia said its aim is to position itself as a single-source technology partner supporting battery manufacturers through line design, industrialisation and production optimisation, with a focus on scalability, factory footprint efficiency and total cost of ownership. The company will exhibit in Hall 1, Booth D40 at The Battery Show Europe, which takes place from 9–11 June in Stuttgart.
