HiPower Systems, part of the Himoinsa Power Systems group in the US and Canada, has introduced a range of power generating equipment designed for use in cold conditions from 0°C to -45°C.
The Winter Pack range is suitable for cold starting in low temperatures without causing excessive wear on the starter battery and they keep running in cold climes.
HiPower president Rafael Acosta said many customers routinely operate at sub-zero temperatures. “These customers need generators that start up quickly and can run continuously for long periods, no matter what the temperature might be.”
The Winter Pack is customisable for specific working conditions. Options include thermal wraps for batteries, a heater on the cooling system to maintain a constant operating temperature, thermostat-activated dampers for weather protection, and a snow hood.
