Two years ago, Nintendo devised and published a new puzzle video game they called "Dr Kawashima's Brain Training," a series of puzzles, stroop tests and mathematical problems that they claimed would give the brain a mental workout like no other. Curious, I bought it and worked it through. But though relieved when Dr Kawashimi awarded me a brain age of 42, I soon tired of the game.
