Cummins Power Generation Inc. has announced global price increases of up to 3% for most of its diesel and gas generator sets, automatic transfer switches and other products.
The US firm said the price changes, which take effect for shipments made after January 1, 2013, are in response to global market conditions and foreign exchange rates.
In August, the company unveiled four new generator models, designed for smaller power requirements. The new options were 175kW, 200kW, 275kW and 300kW.
Cummins announced in November a new rating for diesel generators used in data centres. Called Data Center Continuous (DCC), the rating identifies generators that can run for an unlimited number of hours and without restrictions on average variable load factor.
