Canadian Solar’s energy storage arm, e-STORAGE, has been selected to deliver a fully integrated solution for the Skyview 2 Energy Storage Project in Edwardsburgh Cardinal, Ontario.
The 411MW/1,858MWh installation– developed by Potentia Renewables in partnership with the Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn First Nation– was awarded under Ontario’s Long-Term Reliability (LT1) procurement process.
As turnkey EPC provider, e-STORAGE will supply around 390 units of its proprietary SolBank 3.0 system. Shipments are scheduled to begin in February 2026, with commercial operation expected in Q2 2027. The scope includes system integration, substation and balance-of-plant works (excluding HV transformer and switchgear), and transmission line interconnection. A 21-year Long-Term Agreement (LTSA) will support ongoing performance and reliability.
“The Skyview project, our largest SolBank delivery contract to date, is set to become one of Canada‘s largest battery energy storage facilities upon completion,” said Colin Parkin, president of e-STORAGE. “This project is a strong validation of our full-stack delivery model, which combines our proprietary SolBank technology with turnkey EPC execution to deliver bankable, grid-ready energy storage infrastructure at scale. This project will reinforce grid reliability and accelerate Canada’s clean energy transition.”
With 8GWh of energy storage projects already deployed across North America, Skyview 2 builds on this momentum.
