The European Association for Storage of Energy (EASE) has officially rebranded as the Energy Storage Europe association, marking a pivotal moment in its 15-year history.
The move reflects the sector’s rapid evolution and growing prominence within Europe’s energy landscape.
The new identity aims to elevate visibility across the continent, aligning with the surge in deployment and policy engagement.
“In 2025, Europe added new energy storage power capacity at a scale 15 times greater than just five years ago,” said David Post, president of the Energy Storage Europe association. “With this unprecedented growth, a more visible identity was essential to the Association. We will continue to represent the entire value chain and all storage technologies, advocating for policies that enable the needed flexibility and strongest deployment across Europe.”
The rebrand signals energy storage’s transition from emerging technology to a strategic pillar of Europe’s decarbonisation efforts. The association’s updated logo captures the dynamism of the sector, with a purple-to-blue gradient symbolising technical innovation and optimism. The word ‘Europe’ underscores the organisation’s collaborative reach and policy influence.
“This is more than just a new name; it’s a new chapter for our organisation and the entire sector,” added Patrick Clerens, secretary general. “Europe’s energy future depends on energy storage. Our new identity will amplify this message to ensure we are at the heart of policy debates.”
Energy Storage Europe will continue to unite the full value chain, championing storage as a key enabler of the continent’s energy transition.
