US-based battery maker East Penn Manufacturing has announced the promotion of Rob Ott to executive vice president and chief commercial officer, effective 29 September 2025.
The company said that in his new role he will oversee the transportation sales segments, which includes original equipment, aftermarket, private and proprietary brands and branch operations.
He will also be in charge of overseeing all industrial segments, including motive power and reserve power; and wire, cable, and battery accessories sales.
The role will entail a focus on customer support as well as growth, and Ott will report to CEO Pete Stanislawczyk.
Ott joined East Penn in 1996 as a sales trainee and his most recent role was senior vice president of transportation sales and diversified products and the divisional vice president of sales for retail markets.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business management at Gettysburg College.
The company said he has advanced through increasing leadership and responsibility, specifically driving growth of the transportation sales team and its customer relationships.
