Ecobat Technologies, provider of closed-loop recycling of lead-acid batteries, has purchased a German battery collection division called Must GmbH. The acquisition of Must, based in Vienenburg, Lower Saxony, increases Ecobat’s presence across Germany.
Must’s scrap lead-acid collection will continue with the combined knowhow of Ecobat’s market position and 95% scrap recycling efficiency rate.
“We are excited to expand our scrap lead collection activities in north west Europe and reinforce our reputation as the customer’s choice for collection and recycling services,” said Rob Harris, President and managing director of Ecobat in Europe and Asia.
Ecobat has an expansion programme to increase collection Europe-wide activities; the waste management company that specialises in processing scrap and ferrous/non-ferrous metals is therefore a prime candidate. Ecobat’s portfolio now includes consulting, logistic, collection, transport, intermediate storage, container-management, recycling, and waste disposal.
