Consortium for Battery Innovation executive director Alistair Davidson has issued the call for papers ahead of ELBC, taking place in Vienna on 15-18 September 2026.
In a year when CBI will present its third technical roadmap, Dr Davidson said, “We’re looking forward to reviewing submissions demonstrating the latest breakthroughs in lead battery innovation. As we finalise a new research roadmap with bold targets for the future, the next ELBC programme will set a new benchmark – showcasing the full potential of lead batteries and underscoring their essential role in a resilient and sustainable society.”
CBI is seeking papers on a range of topics, including multi technology energy storage projects using lead batteries, and lead battery applications for electric vehicle charging stations.
The conference is focused on lead battery innovation and is jointly organised by CBI and the International Lead Association.
Proposed papers may be submitted via the ELBC conference website.
All papers are reviewed by the ELBC technical committee, and successful proposals are included in the conference agenda.
