Enphase Energy, a global energy technology company and microinverter-based solar and battery systems supplier, has launched the fourth generation of its Enphase energy system, which includes the Q battery 10C, IQ meter collar, and the IQ combiner 6C.
The company reports that its IQ Battery 10C has 10kWh of usable energy and delivers 7.08kW of continuous power, capable of supporting heavy start up loads in HVAC systems and pool pumps.
It uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery chemistry, has 34% greater energy density and can take up to 62% less wall space compared to the previous generation system.
The battery system is AC-coupled and also includes 240V and 120V microinverters built-in that allow for it to have a backup functionality and reduce the amount of internal hardware compared to the previous generation battery.
The company said the IQ meter collar consolidates the interconnection equipment into one enclosure, which has integrated breaker spaces for solar, battery, EV charging and load control.
It also includes pre-installed current transformers for solar and battery metering.
Enphase said it expects to start shipping its new battery in Q3 2025.
Ken Fong, senior vice president and general manager of the Americas and APAC, Enphase Energy, said, “With the launch of our fourth-generation Enphase Energy System, we’re delivering smarter, more efficient, and more powerful solutions that simplify installation, enhance reliability, and provide greater value to homeowners. We’re excited to continue driving innovation and supporting installers in bringing cutting-edge solar and storage technology to more customers worldwide.”
