Enphase Energy has introduced its IQ Battery 5P with FlexPhase technology to the Indian market, offering robust backup power for both single-phase and three-phase systems.
Designed to meet the demands of India’s residential and small commercial sectors, the modular battery system supports scalable energy storage up to 40kWh.
Each 5kWh unit delivers up to 3.84kW in single-phase and 1.28kW per phase in three-phase configurations. When paired with the IQ System Controller 3 INT, the battery can discharge at twice its continuous power for three seconds – ideal for high-demand appliances during outages. Built with lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry, the system prioritises safety and thermal stability.
“Many of our customers live in larger homes with three-phase wiring,” said Harsha Kuntur, founder and managing director at Ecosoch Solar. “The IQ Battery 5P with FlexPhase is exactly what we need to offer reliable backup and maximise self-consumption for these households.”
Installers across India are welcoming the flexibility. “Enphase is giving us the flexibility to serve both commercial and residential customers with one system,” said Dijo MD of 3rd Eye Security Systems. Shivam D Rai of Shivshakti Enterprises added, “The IQ Battery 5P with FlexPhase now addresses the three-phase segment with a high-performance product from a company we trust.”
The system integrates with IQ8 Microinverters and supports Sunlight Jump Start, enabling solar-powered restarts after outages. It is now available in India with a 15-year limited warranty.
