German demand response provider Entelios is to collaborate with giant utility E.ON to offer energy savings to industrial and commercial customers.
Among the first ones is the Harzwasserwerke GmbH, one of Germany’s top 10 water suppliers. “We are delighted to be partnering with E.ON, one of the leading international power industry players, to deploy our proven concept for integrating the demand side in Germany together”, said founder and CEO of Entelios Oliver Stahl.
With its Demand-Response-as-a-Service and Virtual-Power-System-as-a-Service, Entelios offers power suppliers, utilities and grid operators comprehensive solutions for the integration of decentralized and renewable energy into the power markets and electricity grids.
The solutions are comprised of the Entelios Software Suite, the universal data communication interface E-Box, and complementing services.
With widespread introduction of fluctuating renewable generation such as wind and solar in Germany, actively managing the demand-side of the power market has become a necessity. Consumer loads and distributed generation must react in real time to the conditions of the grid and power market to ensure smooth and reliable operation of the power grid.
