Epsilor Electric Fuel, a developer and manufacturer of smart batteries and chargers, is due to showcase its 4,400Wh/174Ah lithium-ion battery pack for military applications.
Named ‘COMBATT ELI-52526-GM’, it delivers 25.2V, weighs 27kg and is designed for use in defence vehicles, deployable weapon systems and naval applications.
The battery is the latest generation of the Isreal-based firm’s COMBATT 6T lithium-ion battery pack.
The company is due to present the battery at DSEI UK 2025, the international defence and security trade event taking place between 9-12 September.
US-based laboratories have tested the technology as part of the company’s bid to meet the US Army’s performance specifications for secondary nominal 24V lithium-ion batteries with a 6T form factor.
The tests include bullet penetration, performance in cold and hot temperatures (up to 500ºC), cycle life, and checks it can communicate with client platforms.
The company is part of US-based defense and security products company Arotech Corporation.
The company’s three previous generations of its COMBATT range include:
• A 3.6kWh to 4.4kWh pack
• A 2,560Wh (100Ah) LFP version
• A 4.2kWh (166Ah) pack for robotics, tactical energy storage, and microgrid applications
