Since its inception in 1988, ELBC has pioneered the way lead and lead battery executives and technical specialists meet and share knowledge— this year however will be a little different.
Scheduled for Milan, the global pandemic meant that organisers of 17ELBC had to make the three-day bi-annual conference a virtual event— with some broadcasting being beemed live from studios in London and Germany.
The event, which starts Tuesday, 22 September, will include the usual fusion of technical and industry experts updating delegates on the global lead battery industry from market reports to technological innovations.
Delegates can log in to watch all the Technical Session presentations on demand and submit questions for the panel ahead of the event. The event opens to exhibitors from 7am Tuesday, 22 September, with the Industry Insights presentations on demand when the live sessions start at noon.
Dr Andy Bush, managing director at the International Lead Association, told BEST: “We’ve produced the event to include as many elements of ELBC as possible, including the industry insights, our extensive technical programme and an exhibition.
“We’ll be broadcasting live from studios in London and Germany, and while we cannot replicate the face-to-face experience, it remains an important opportunity for the lead battery industry worldwide to meet together and consider the many important issues affecting us all at this time.
“We’ve received strong support for our online venture from around the world, and are now full of energy and enthusiasm for the live days.”
