EuroSite Power has won a contract worth £1.7m ($2.7m) to install and operate a combined heat and power (CHP) system to a hospital in Lancashire, UK.
The 15-year agreement with Clifton Hospital is to operate a 100kW CHP system to produce over one million kWH of energy each year to the community hospital.
This is EuroSite’s first contract with the NHS in the UK for healthcare power provisions. The hospital site will buy the power produced on-site from EuroSite Power at a guaranteed rate rather than buying the generating equipment outright.
