NAATBatt International will host its 9th annual workshop on lithium battery recycling and lifecycle management on July 7-8, 2026, in Troy, Michigan.
This year’s workshop will look at the economics of recycling batteries in the rapidly changing landscape of lithium-ion technology. Representatives of major vehicle OEM’s and BESS operators will talk about their recycling strategies. Speakers will address different recycling business models, the economics of recycling LFP, and new technologies promising to make recycling lithium batteries more efficient and more profitable.
The workshop will also discuss the impact of changing recycling economics on second life battery use. Case studies of second life battery use will be presented and the future of that market analyzed.
As always, NAATBatt member firms that recycle or reuse lithium batteries as their primary business activity are invited to give short presentations during the workshop about their companies, products and technologies. Similar to the Member Update Presentations at NAATBatt annual meetings, these short talks let everyone in the industry know exactly who is doing exactly what in battery recycling and reuse.
