The Battery Safety Conference is organised by RISE for researchers, engineers, manufacturers, test houses, regulators and decision-makers concerned with safe electrification. It takes a whole-system view of safety, linking cell chemistry and abuse response with pack design, thermal management, sensing, battery-management systems, testing, standards, fire behaviour, transport and incident investigation.
The mixture of scientific and industrial contributions is intended to turn research findings into better design, validation and operating practice. Gothenburg’s automotive and battery-testing community gives the event particular relevance to electric vehicles, although the lessons also apply to stationary, marine and other battery systems. The 2027 conference will take place on 6-7 April in Gothenburg. RISE describes it as a meeting for anyone seeking the latest findings, challenges and solutions in battery safety, with detailed programme and venue information to follow.
