Finning Power Systems has been awarded a contract to supply emergency power in the form of diesel generators to an Ark data centre in Wiltshire, UK.
The contract for the Spring Park Data Centre includes the supply, installation and commissioning of two Caterpillar C18 700kVA generators and fuel tanks, along with control system and testing facilities.
The generators operate on to N+1. Should all other power fail, both generators can come online and provide up to 72 hours of capacity, when running at full load.
The site is a low carbon facility that utilises energy efficient technologies, while ensuring power resilience to 99.982%.
