Finning Power has unveiled a generator in the CAT Power range that offers 33% more power with a 25% smaller footprint than comparable engines. The CAT 3516C-HD will be available with a 2750kVA standby rating and 2500kVA prime power rating.
It extends Finning’s CAT engine range specifically for data centres. These engines have been designed to lower the cost of ownership, with that in mind the smaller footprint allows for easy integration into an existing set up as well as saving on floor space.
The set up includes two generators that can operate at temperatures up to 50°C. It incorporates Caterpillar’s four-stroke, water-cooled diesel engine, and SR5 generator.
The CAT 3516C-HD will be on show at Data Centre World 2014 at the ExCeL Centre in February.
