Italian lead oxide manufacturer CAM has had to temporarily suspend its operations as a result of flooding. CAM’s factory is in Fossacesia, in the province of Abruzzo. Yesterday, April 1, heavy rainfall caused extensive flooding in the region.
CAM has released the following statement:
“OFFICIAL STATEMENT:
TEMPORARY OPERATIONAL SUSPENSION
In response to an extraordinary natural disaster and resulting flooding, CAM’s manufacturing facilities are currently closed.
The safety of our team and the integrity of our technology remain our absolute priorities.
Technical teams are working round the clock to assess and secure systems, ensuring CAM’s standards are uncompromised.
We have activated our full emergency response protocols to minimize downtime and ensure a resumption of operations.
We are in the process of reaching out to all customers and suppliers individually.
Further updates will be provided as soon as they become available.
We will return stronger than before.”
