Formula E, the zero-carbon race series beginning in 2014, has announced the final teams participating and unveiled the race calendar. The races will take place on ten city circuits to showcase EVs in their natural home.
Formula E teams have been entered from around the world for the inaugural competition. Drayson Racing from the UK was the first team announced, followed by China Racing of China; Andretti Autosport of the USA; Dragon Racing also from the US; e.dams of France; Super Aguri of Japan; Audi Sport ABT from Germany; Mahindra Racing of India; Virgin Racing from the UK and Venturi Grand Prix Formula E Team based in Monaco.
For the initial contest all entrants will race a car developed by Spark Racing and Renault with a drivetrain constructed by McClaren and 200kw batteries supplied by F1 veterans Williams Advanced Engineering. The Spark-Renault SRT_01E will be a zero-emission single-seater race car that showcases the most advanced EV technology that can be developed for application to passenger vehicles.
From the second season teams will be encouraged to develop and race their own custom cars that adhere to the Championship rules.

Round 3 – Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 15th November 2014
Round 4 – Punta del Este, Uruguay, 13th December 2014
Round 5 – Buenos Aires, Argentina, 10th January 2015
Round 6 – Los Angeles, USA, 14th February 2015
Round 7 – Miami, USA , 14th March 2015
Round 8 – Monte Carlo, Monaco, 9th May 2015
Round 9 – Berlin, Germany, 30th May 2015
Round 10 – London, UK, 27th June 2015
