A European project to encourage the use of fuel cells in homes is deploying 1000 micro FC-CHP (fuel cell combined heat and power generators) as part of a field trial.
The project, coordinated by ene.field, will bring together manufacturers and energy companies to encourage European governments to adopt energy saving technologies
.
The field trial will provide an understanding of how end users respond to the FC-CHP and assess product performance in homes.
The European Commission’s Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking and 26 partners including 9 manufacturers that are making the products available across 12 European countries fund the project.
