ROSS has introduced the CDA‑200 Dual Shaft Mixer, a high‑performance system designed for manufacturers handling dense, high‑viscosity formulations across sectors such as coatings, adhesives and sealants.
Built to process dispersions, suspensions and emulsions up to around 500,000 centipoise, the mixer combines robust construction with production‑scale efficiency.
The CDA‑200 pairs two independently driven agitators to deliver consistent, uniform results even in demanding applications. A two‑wing anchor agitator, powered by a 10 HP explosion‑proof motor, maintains steady turnover of heavy materials.
Working alongside it, a 12‑inch high‑speed disperser driven by a 20 HP explosion‑proof motor generates strong turbulent flow at speeds from 160 to 1,600 rpm. Together, they support batch sizes of up to 200 gallons, offering a practical solution for high‑volume mixer operations.
A key feature of the system is its change‑can design. A hydraulic lift allows operators to work with multiple stainless‑steel type 304 jacketed vessels, enabling efficient heating or cooling of temperature‑sensitive products. Vacuum capability up to 29.5″ Hg helps reduce air entrapment, improving overall product quality.
To maintain clean vessel walls and promote even heat transfer, Teflon scrapers mounted on the anchor agitator continuously remove material build‑up. This action enhances batch uniformity and is particularly valuable during cooling cycles, when viscosity typically increases.
