Vehicle OEM BMW Group will expand its battery manufacturing capacity from 2021 with a plant in Leipzig, Germany, to build modules for electrified vehicles.
The following year the company will invest more than €100 million in the site to prepare a module production plant comprising of 10,000 square meters as it prepares for the forecast increase in electrified vehicle sales.
