An international manufacturer of single wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNT), OCSiAl has successfully achieved registration in the EU’s Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) listings.
OCSiAl claims it is the first and only company that is capable of producing industrial-scale volumes of SWCNT in the market. REACH registration will boost OCSiAl’s core product TUBALL™ to help it deliver 60 tonnes next year to the European continent.
OCSiAl first introduced its universal additive TUBALL™ (contains 75% of SWCNT) in 2014, and then it launched the super concentrate TUBALL™ MATRIX this year.
The company is developing technologies based on nanotubes for a range of applications including lithium-ion batteries, elastomers, plastics, transparent conductive films, and composite materials.
It also completed mandatory nanomaterials registration in France and Belgium in August 2016, as part of OCSiAl’s commitment to product stewardship.
Additionally, OCSiAl has joined in the “EC4SafeNano” (European Centre for Risk Management and Safe Innovation in Nanomaterials & Nanotechnologies) project, which is a part of the Horizon 2020 programme funded by the European Commission.
