Solar power and energy storage firm Nexamp has appointed Mark Frigo as vice president of energy storage as it looks to accelerate growth of its energy storage portfolio.
Frigo will focus on growing Nexamp’s energy storage team while identifying new business opportunities in its own generation portfolio and in third-party projects, both standalone and solar-plus-storage projects.
Frigo has more than two decades of experience in the energy field and as an energy expert who has testified before US Congress on the role of energy storage in the nation’s electricity system.
In his previous job Frigo oversaw the development of large storage projects in his role as vice president and head of energy storage in North America for investor-owned utility RWE.
Frigo was lead on RWE’s successful initiative that established its first energy storage facility in Arizona. His team subsequently built two additional energy storage projects in Texas, and laid the groundwork for large solar and storage projects.
